Nobbys lighthouse is a working lighthouse operated by the Newcastle Port Authority.
The Lamp
Powered by 240v with battery backup, it takes 40 seconds for the light to make a full revolution.
It began operation operation on January 1st, 1858. It was converted to automatic operation on 4th September 1916.
